Purse Organization

To work on a small organization project I chose to work on my purse.  My old purse was an endless pit and I could never find anything I needed.  It had no compartments and everything just went straight down to the middle.  Toni from ABFOL had a purse organization post on her blog and I fell in love with it!

The Mandy purse from Vera Bradley is wonderful.  It has a lot of compartments within the purse to make finding things so much easier. My Mandy purse has the happy snails pattern.

Everything fits in so perfectly and everything has a spot so I can easily find what I need.

Here is my lovely matching wallet and cash envelope system. To read more on the cash envelope you can go to Toni's blog here.  This is where I found out about this lovely system.  Starting 2013 I will be using cash only!

Here is a look inside my cash envelope along with my dividers that are nicely labeled.  To purchase your own envelope system you can visit A Time for Everything

Inside my wallet it has many compartments to organize all my cards neatly.  I also keep my check book and stamps in the one compartment.

On the other side of my wallet I keep my license and medical cards.  I also keep my most used cards, but starting the new year I will be getting rid of all my cards and using cash only.  If I don't have it I won't spend it!

I also keep my phone, Weight Watchers point tracker, mini lint roller, gum, sun glasses and all of my bonus cards with me.  My WW point tracker also serves as a calculator when I am grocery shopping and need to stay on budget. As for my bonus cards, I found that punching a hole in one corner and using a key ring to keep them all together has been a huge time saver at the check out line.  No more searching!

This Martha Stewart planner is my portable life planner. To read more about it you can go here.

Lastly, is my "essentials" mini Martha Stewart bag.
This little guy hides and stores all my lady essentials.  I also make sure to always have pepto, eye drops, advil, gum and chap stick with me at all times.  This little bag always saves the day!

I was in desperate need of a purse clean out.  I no longer have to feel silly at a checkout line because I am searching for 20 minutes to find what I need.  Everything in my new purse is visible and has a home or compartment where it is located.

    1. Thanks Melissa! I love the envelope cash system, but with your designs it makes it even better! I use mine all the time and has definitely helped me to stay on track with my spending! I can do all that managing while still having a cute envelope that gets the job done!
